How do I reserve a trip with Book Me A Charter?
You can contact us on our Website by filling out the request form or call us at 850-653-2622. You will need to know which of our exciting charters you would like to reserve. We offer Fishing Charters in the Apalachicola Bay, River or Gulf of Mexico. Oystering Charters are available on the Apalachicola Bay. Sightseeing Charters are available in the Apalachicola River and/or Bay. We strongly suggest you book as far in advance as possible. Some of our Charter dates are booked up to one full year in advance, so book your charter early to insure your date. BMAC requires 50% deposit to confirm your reservation. Your tentative reservation will be held for five business days. In the event we do not receive your deposit (within five business days) we will remove your name for that date and cancel your charter. Last minute reservations are occasionally available, feel free to call us and see what we may have open for Charter.

Do you accept credit cards?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Company Checks, Money Order, Travelers Check and Cash.

How many people can we bring on our charter?
We service 1-4 people per boat (this includes children). If you would like to bring a child under 8 years old, please advise BMAC during your initial booking. We are a family based business, so we know how important your family is to you. We at BMAC have found that children under age 8 lose interest quickly. Usually full day trips are better for the children and the parents if they leave the little ones at home.

What do I need to bring?
You should bring your polarized sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, rain suit, white or clear soled shoes (preferably closed toed), seasick medication, warm clothes (layers work best), food and beverages for the day. Please bring an Ice Chest so you can take your catch home with you. Last, but not least don't forget your WATERPROOF CAMERA to record your big catch and big day on the water.

Can we bring alcohol?
You are welcome to bring beer and wine cooler type beverages, however we ask that you drink in extreme moderation. Alcohol consumption, mixed with sun exposure and weather conditions can lead to health threats. The captain reserves the right to monitor your intake. Remember your Safety and Enjoyment are our main concern.

Do I need a fishing license?
No, Our Captains provide the license, bait, tackle, ice, rods and reels.

What happens if bad weather makes it impossible to go out on the water?
Occasionally our weather will not co-operate with our charter dates. We will do our best to reschedule your charter. Our Captains have the right to cancel any Charter at anytime due to weather or the threat of unsafe conditions. In the rare event that your schedule and ours do not coincide, we will refund 100% of your deposit, with BMAC company check. We would rather lose a booking than put our customers at risk, again your safety and enjoyment are our utmost priority.

Can you guarantee that our party will catch fish?
No, on very few occasions no matter how you hold your mouth, wiggle your bait, or turn your hat, the fish just refuse to bite. Captains at BMAC are experienced, local fishermen. Many BMAC Captains fished commercially for years, thus they have the knowledge of the area and the fish. The odds of not catching fish with our captains are very rare.

How far in advance can I Book Me A Charter?
You can reserve a charter up to two years, with a deposit at the time of booking. Our return clients normally hold a standing deposit for several trips per year, or the same date every year. Our goal is to make your experience with BMAC a memorable event that you will want to come and enjoy often.

I know that your captains are not sailors, but do they curse as if they were?
Most of our Captains are Rated G and a few at PG 13. G: Your Captain will not use profanity, foul or offensive language or clothing.
PG 13: Your Captain may use mild profanity, especially if he looses a BIG FISH.
You can bring your children - grandparents without fear, of offence to your family or your values.

I would like to book several boats for my large group, does Book Me A Charter do that?
We do, the earlier you book for large groups the greater chance we are to have charters available. Our Captains are highly booked so, book early to insure your dates will be available.

My family is on vacation in the area, and we would like to book several days of fun and fishing. Can we reserve them all with Book Me A Charter?

What size are the boats?
BMAC boats vary in size they range from 20-32 feet depending on the captain that you are chartered with. Our boats are working fishing boats.

Do the boats have restrooms?
Most of our bay and river boats do not have bathroom facilities on them.  We do have a few of the larger gulf boats that do have bathroom facilities.

Do you arrange for individuals to fish one boat and split the cost?
The boat charter price is as stated, be it one person or four the cost will be the same. We do not offer a per person rate or arrange for parties to combine to split cost.
