Gerald and his wife Diane were old pros by the end of their cultural oystering adventure. They tonged and culled the oysters they harvested. The best part, they were able to take home their catch to share with the family that were all vacationing in Panama City.
Thanks Gerald and Diane, we will see you next year for another adventure on the Apalachicola Bay...

Gerald and Diane from Tulsa OK had a wonderful morning on an oystering adventure on the Apalachicola Bay. In this photo they were culling through the oysters to find the perfect 3 inch oyster. While out on the oyster bar they were able to enjoy several dozen oysters on the halfshell shucked fresh by the captain.
Thanks for oystering with us guys!
Next year, we go flounder gigging!

The Briard family had a great time on their oystering charter.. The boys went oystering and the 2 girls not pictured spent the day shopping in our unique shops in Apalachicola..
|
Cameron tonging oysters while the boys were culling and selecting the ones they wanted to take home.. While culling, they found small crabs, fish and a variety of sealife embedded in the oystershells.
|
The boys will remember this oystering charter forever. How many people can say they went out on a "real oysterboat" and caught their own oysters to take home with them..
Great job guys, you were "old pros" by the end of the trip!
|
The Briard boys had a blast oystering, they were able to tong, cull and eat oysters straight from the boat. Of course boys will be boys, they had to feed the seagulls too.
|
The Henleben family had a great time learning the art of oystering and exploring the sealife that live within the oystershell beds.
